While it would be difficult to say what may be causing the issue, does the duplicate contact remain in Find My Friends after restarting your iPhone: Restart your iPhone - Apple Support

How to restart your iPhone X, 11, 12, 13, or later

1. Press and hold either volume button and the side button until the power-off slider appears.

2. Drag the slider, then wait 30 seconds for your device to turn off. If your device is frozen or unresponsive, force restart your device.

3. To turn your device back on, press and hold the side button (on the right side of your iPhone) until you see the Apple logo.

While restarting may seem like a simple step it can often help with resolving some unexpected issues like this.

Stop sharing with one person

1. Open the Find My app and select the People tab.

2. Choose the person that you want to stop sharing your location with.

3. Scroll down and select Stop Sharing My Location.

I’m the same thing happens to me and it restarting the phone doesn’t fix it,

it also didn’t fix it when I stopped sharing my location with her and then shared it again but I think it’s somehow an issue with the differences between iMessage email address/phone number when they’re both saved to one contact
