garageband muted tracks while using headphone

I’m have some guitar tracks, drum tracks (cajon recorded live) and some vocal tracks. For some reason when I plug my headphones into my MacBook the drum tracks become muted. They all play when playing though the MacBook speakers and I only have this issue when I plug my headphones in. Anyone know what’s going on?

Garageband recording problem I am using GarageBand on my MacBook Pro to record mandolin tracks. I have the count in and the metronome turned off. The mandolin recording sound is good but with each note I pick, or tremolo, there is also an annoying click sound that the pick is making when I am playing. Logic Pro - MIDI Tracks Muted if Playhead Reaches End I've imported MIDI tracks from a program called iReal (iReal is used for playback of chords, bass, and drums of a lead sheet). All my MIDI tracks will get muted if the playhead reaches the end of the MIDI tracks. Yet, I don't see anything obviously wrong - nothing is solo'd and the track is not gray'd out. I pressed the A key to see if there was some type of automation lowering the volume - but, I see nothing wrong. In fact even after the tracks are muted the volume is still at 0dB Once the tracks get muted I MUST close and reopen Logic Pro to unmute the MIDI tracks. If I cut the very end of the MIDI tracks then the problem goes away. So, it seems like automation is altering something - but what? In the screen capture shows what I see - at the end of the MIDI are faint vertical lines - if the playhead crosses these then all tracks are instantly muted and I must restart Logic Pro. In the past I'd just psychically cut off the very end of the MIDI to fix the problem. But, is there a better way? I'm using Logic Pro version 10.7.9 on a 2015 MacBook Pro running macOS Monterey 12.7.6

Garageband vocal audio track "Record Level" slider greyed out. Using Focusrite Clarett 4PreUSB interface with garageband with an old 2015 Monterey Mac. Midi keyboard interface stereo mono outputs, volume knobs, input levels for instruments, and, originally, audio/vocal input/output levels all working just fine. However, recently under "Recording Settings", having selected proper audio input from interface, configuring track to include "Record Enable", checking Mac's Security microphone settings to allow garageband, seeing input/volume response accurately... the "Record Level" slider and "Automatic Level Control" check box are greyed out, unusable. As well, I'm getting a feint output from the mic, depite plenty of signal appearing in the track waves, even clipping if i push it. Volume does not effect the loudness, and adjusting gain just clips. Any help? Thank you...

Hi KengDoja,

Your headphones may have a phasing issue which is causing the drums to cancel out in the stereo field. If you still hear the drums muted with another set of headphones, reach out to Apple Support directly, as this may require closer guidance: Get Support
