Can an iPad be seen as a volume on the Mac desktop?

It has been a while since I’ve wanted to do this. I seem to remember that I could see my iPad on my Mac desktop as a volume that can be accessed like a hard disk. How do I do that? (or am I wrong?)

thanks,

Hi Pete,

As mentioned by Neil, unfortunately there isn't a way to access your iPad as a volume on your Mac. However, you can store your files in iCloud Drive or another cloud solution, or AirDrop them between your iPad and Mac.
