In Numbers I am trying to sort a table.

I have two issues here. In "Numbers" I am trying to sort a table. I could not find the "Sort" button" easily. Eventually I clicked on "Organize" then on "Show Sort Options". I then chose "Sort Entire Table", "Column A", Ascending". First issue - I used to find the "Sort" button easily before, now I had to search for it. Is there an easy way to find "Sort" without wasting time having to search? Second issue - I was not able to sort because the green "Sort Now" button would not get highlighted. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance for any info.

The easiest way to sort is to click somewhere in the table and move the cursor over the column letter at the top and click the "arrow" next to the column letter and choose your sorting option from the dropdown that appears:

SGIII,

I did just that. I went to column "A" and the only highlighted choices I have is "Show Sort Options". "Sort Ascending" and "Sort Descending" will not highlight therefore I can't click on them.

I just created a new test table and clicked on the arrow next to column "A". I clicked on "Ascending Order" and it did work. Apparently my old table does not work as previously.
