iOS 16 current, iPhone SE 3rd gen. Had calls on Vibrate only, then needed ring tone for a day, now can’t get back to Vibrate only. Online searches don’t resemble what I’m seeing in Sounds &Haptics or haven’t worked. How do I get back? Thanks,

Turn the Ring/Silent switch on the left side of the phone to off.
And set the "Play Haptics in Silent Mode" to on in Settings > Sounds & Haptics.

Thanks. What I don't get though is that to get out of Vibrate only mode and play the ring tone I didn't touch the Ring/Silent switch (and the volume slider was part way across). In fact, I wasn't aware of that switch and had never seen the its light.
Btw, since the R/S switch light is now on all the time, does that drain the battery more quickly?
Having the ring/silent switch in the on (ring) position does not cause a constant battery drain.
