Mac makes me double click my iPhone to make a purchase

When I attempt to make a purchase with Apple Pay on my Mac, it makes me double click on my iPhone to complete the purchase. I have checked my Apple Pay settings on the Mac (M1 running Ventura 13.4.1), and they appear to be correct

So you want to turn that off? As I recall the setting is on the phone.

Settings/wallet & Apple Pay/payments on Mac.

Having it "turned-on" allows you to confirm payments made on your Mac by using the iPhone.

I have it turned-on on my iPhone to confirm Apple Pay payments made on my Mac, used to use an Apple Watch for the same purpose.
