When performing simple tasks such as texting or just browsing the internet, even for small periods of time, my device heats up really bad. Keep in mind it’s brand new. I’ve tried many methods in order to prevent this from happening, but none of them seem to work.
If anyone got any idea, please tell me!

Perhaps to use 'force-restart' might (or not) help make it work?

inspection, at an Apple genius or authorized service center.

..On the other hand, a good backup to a computer, may free up your
new iPhone for return/exchange; IF under 14-day limit, at Apple retail.
With backup, one might try a full reinstall of iOS, too?
