My iPad will not accept my password, it is correct. I

It has locked me out and has a different looking password page , at the top

iPad locked and will not accept my password

screen looks different at top

has two lines running across the top with spaces into between to accept code

when I click in the code it remains blank as if I didn’t put it in

You mentioned being unable to enter your passcode. Does this change if you restart your iPad? Restarting can help refresh the software on your iPad which may resolve this. Here's how to restart:
