photos and ventura

Since updating my iMac to Ventura, changes have occurred to the Photos app. One essential function is now seemingly unavailable, or has been downgraded.

I refer to the horizontalling (if that's a word) of pictures so that the sea for example can be made level. This was so useful, but now can only be unsatisfactorily attempted. If the original picture is way off level, it cannot be levelled.

Such a disappointment. Will there be a patch to put this right?

It is still possible to straighten the horizon, but you have to use the slider in the "Crop" tab.

The range of the straighten slider is a bit limited compared to the previous straighten tool, that is right.

Sometimes it helps to use the rotate tool to turn the photo by 90° degrees, and then to try to straighten the rotated image, if we need to straighten it more than 45° degrees.
