I purchased an apple gift card instead of an itunes gift card
I purchased an apple gift card and needed it to use on itunes. It will not let me use it

In most (all?) countries and regions where Apple Gift Cards are sold, an Apple Gift Card will work with the iTunes Store, so there is seemingly something else going on.

You can’t use it to buy gifts or another gift card.
Check with Apple Gift Card support.
