I just ordered the subject phone that should be delivered in a week. In the meantime I would like to learn about it as this will be my first Apple device. Coming from the Android world. Unfortunately I cannot find its User Guide or Manual anywhere on the Net. Can somebody direct me to the right site that has a PDF or other ePub version?

Well, it's Monday and the only PDF doc I've found is one, that shows all the NEW features of iOS 17. This does not help somebody who is coming to iOS the first time. I expect to see a full description of iOS 17 with all the latest features incorporated. Fat chance?
Apple does not have manuals for specific phone models; instead they have manuals for iOS versions, which include information for each model iPhone where they differ from one model to another. Here is a link to iPhone manuals→Apple - Support - Manuals.

Fine, but as an Appe newbie, I still would like to find the online link to that documentation, what ever place or format it is published in.
I just can't imagine, for instance, Boeing releasing a new plane model without its flight documentation at the same time.
Funny thing, I did that and found the latest version in Apple Books even as of today is iOS16.5. This has no mention of the IPhone 15 and variants! the version for ios17 is web only when all previous versions were available in Apple Books
Similarly there is no Apple Books version dedicated to Watch OS 10 and the Ultra 2. There is an iOS10 version in pdf and web but it doesn’t over the Ultra Series. Previous watchOS versions also had an Apple Books version.

You will never find a PDF manual. iOS manuals are only published on the web and as an Apple Books document.
I’m sure it will be available shortly. Remember the people that publish do so from California, so any releases (including iOS 17 itself) will be based on working hours in Pacific Daylight Time.
