Esim issues

I had to return my purchased IPhone 14 back because it won’t allow a physical SIM card, the Chinese tele companies do not use esim yet. But I really want to update my IPhone 12 Pro Max to 15 pro max, except the SIM card issues. What information do I need to make the physical SIM card transfer work? I know Apple makes iPhone 14 with physical sim slot in China and sell it in China. Does Apple do the same for iPhone 15? If so, Can I buy iPhone 15 in China to used in US without compromising the other quality? Only if I can’t transfer physical sim to esim. Thanks for your help!!!
