Dictate through iPhone to Mac OS Word?

On my Mac Mini I have Microsoft Word, v. 16.76.1 (23082301). The only microphone I have is the iPhone SE. It runs iOS 16.6.1 (20GB1.) In the past I was able to use the iPhone to dictate into MS Word for Mac. After some OS updates, I can no longer use the iOS application that served that purpose.

The iPhone still connects to Zoom and Webex in the Mac Mini.

Is there any currently available technique for using the iPhone microphone to dictate into Word in a Mac Mini?

If Microsoft Office isn’t accepting a system input microphone, check with the Microsoft Office for Mac forums, as they know their product best, and those Microsoft forums usually have more folks that know Office and its details.

Get this.  The application that I had used in the past is called EpocCam.  It is an iOS application.  I reported above that application stopped working two or three operating systems ago.

Several months ago the Kinoni website reported that there was some incompatibility between EpocCam and the latest Mac OS.

After I posted the above question, I turned on my iPhone.  I found that EpocCam is working again.

So for the time being. It appears that I can dictate into Word again.  I hope it lasts.

And I see that setting the Sound setting in the Mac to the iPhone microphone works, too.  I thought I had already tried that but maybe not.

Thanks.
