Updated to a Iphone 14 Pro Max - Flash Drive Connectivity

Upon updating to a new phone from a 8plus, a few questions. I want to transfers photos ( already set my 14 Pro Max to .jpeg from High Efficiency) to a Scandisk flash drive as to not take up storage space on my iphone.

(1) Can a Scan Disk USB 2.0 flash drive be used on the Apple Lightning to USB3 Camera Adapter ?

(2) Do scan disk flash drives come formatted for Apple MS-DOS (FAT) and ExFAT: File systems that are compatible with Windows ? or must I format the scandisk to one of those FAT file systems on my Windows 10 machine.

It's far simpler and better to connect your iPhone to your computer and upload the photos to a folder on your computer. Then connect the flash drive to your computer and move the photos to your flash drive.

Otherwise, you'd need to buy software (an app, which usually costs money) to download them to a flash drive directly from your iPhone to a flash drive. I would personally not recommend this.

Ps: Once uploaded to your computer, you can remove them from your iPhone. And even if you upload them from your computer to a flash drive, I would keep them stored on your computer. Flash Drives can become corrupt and if that happens and the flash drive is the ONLY place you have the photos stored, you could lose them. I believe in backup redundancy to avoid losing valuable photos you don't want to lose.
