how do you freeze more than 5 columns in a spreadsheet?

apple numbers only supports freezing up to 5 rows and/or 5 columns, is there a way to get around this and if not please provide feature request at Feedback - Numbers - Apple

Hi TGacctg,

These are built in limits that have been in place through several versions of Numbers (and, likely, several requests) without change.

Feature Request is the first choice in the popup menu near the top of the form opened by clicking the Feedback - Numbers - Apple link included in your post.

You can make such a request, and provide information supporting that request, directly to Apple using that form.

Barry

In the meantime, 'freezing' more than five rows and/or more than five columns on one table is not supported in Numbers.

You can simulate that feature by creating a second table with up to five rows in which to add up to five more 'column header' information items, and another with up to five columns to contain 'row header' information.

Place these tables to above and to the left of the main table, aligning them with the columns/rows of that table. The two auxiliary tables may be locked to maintain their positions, but the main table cannot be locked if any data entry is to be done in that table.

An alternate action might be to make the header cells 'taller' and include more than one 'header' in a single header cell.
