Apple ID password

I have an desktop Mac running Yosemite 10.10.5. About 2 months ago i stopped getting mail from my me.com and it said it did not recognize my password associated with my Apple ID...I changed the password and still the same message. ID and password work fine on my MacBook Air using the Apple chip
