Have you made sure that the apps you’re trying to get notifications from are turned on in the settings?
Goto Settings > Notifications and then search for the apps that you want to display the notifications. Click on the app in question, make sure that they are turned on. If they are turned on and you’re still not receiving the notifications, there are a couple of things you could try.
Start with trying a force restart of the iPad. You said it’s new so I’m going to assume that it doesn’t have a home button because you didn’t say what model you have. Hopefully it’s new, and just not new to you. That being said follow these instructions
- Press and Release the Volume Up button
- Press and Release the Volume Down button
- Press and hold the Sleep/Siri button until you see the Apple Logo
If you see a slider “Slide to power off” just ignore this and continue to hold the Sleep/Siri button and wait till you see the screen turn off and then the Apple Logo appear. Once you see the Apple Logo appear, you can release the button and wait for the iPad to continue to boot. It may take a multiple tries to get it right, you’ll know that you have gotten it right with the combination when you see the slider switch after a few seconds of holding the button. Once the iPad has rebooted, it has successfully been restarted and you can check to see if this has corrected your issue.
If this hasn’t corrected the issue, I would suggest to try to delete and reinstall the app. If this was restored from your backup, there may just be something that didn’t flow through correctly and reinstalling may correct this issue.
If this still doesn’t work and it’s just those apps that aren’t giving you the notifications, then I would suggest you get in touch with the developer of the app. Apple doesn’t control 3rd party apps and cannot assist in trouble shooting them so getting with the developer is going to give you the best results.
