No. An Apple watch charger won't charge an iPhone. You're going to get a USB C to USB C charging cable with your new iPhone. Buy yourself a USB C Charging plug, like the Anker Nano 20w USB C plug. $14 on Amazon.

Maybe we are both not understanding what the OP asked. I read it as they wanted to use the Charging cable which came with their Apple Watch to charge their new iPhone. I didn't read it as can they use the charging plug they use with their Apple Watch charger. As I'm sure you know if someone put an iPhone on the charging puck for Apple Watch, it simply won't charge an iPhone.
Yeah; I’ve never seen an all-in-one Apple Watch charger-cable-puck assembly from Apple. Just a charger, and a separate cable with the puck. Rapid-charge has a USB-C connector, while the slow-charge has a USB-A connector. The Watch puck rapid-charge cable won’t be useful here, but the USB-C charger usually used with those rapid-charge cables should work with the USB-C charging cable included in the iPhone 15 box.
Apple watch comes with a charging cable with a puck on one end and USB C on the other. The cable is permanently affixed to the charging puck, so no, an Apple Watch charging cable would be useless towards charging an iPhone.

So not this Apple Watch Fast Charger cable (and a separate charger)?
… Apple Watch Magnetic Fast Charger to USB-C Cable (1 m) - Apple
Which will have a separate charger, which should work.
As the usual charger for the Apple Watch fast charger cable is USB-C, it will very likely work.
You will need a USB-C cable replacing the Watch puck cable, and that cable is included in the iPhone 15 box.
So yeah, it’ll likely work.
Tell us which charger you have, and we can confirm that. The Apple 20W USB-C charger would be common.

Yes, if they currently use a 20w USB C charging plug with the Apple Watch, they can certainly use the same plug for their new iPhone. But I suspect there will loads of times they will charge their iPhone and Apple Watch at the same time, like at night while sleeping. So they really need another charging plug for their new iPhone.
Thank you!
