MacBook doesn't have Wallet and Apple Pay preference

Hi all,

I recently brought a MacBook Air M2 (2022), with 8GB memory and *definitely* a Touch ID button. However, I am still unable to set up Apple Pay on my MacBook. The Wallet and Apple Pay pane does not show on my MacBook at all in Settings.

As seen in a previous thread, when I spotlight search "Wallet and Apple Pay" it shows up, but when I click on it I am shown an error message "You can’t open the “Wallet & Apple Pay” settings pane because it is not available to you at this time."

I have successfully managed to set up Apple Pay on my iPhone 13 without any hassles and use it on the regular as well.

If of any use, I bought my MacBook in India but as an international student I go to university in the United Kingdom. The region preference on my App Store is set to United Kingdom.

Any thoughts? Is it the location that might be causing an issue (as according to my knowledge, Apple Pay does not work in India)?

Thanks in advance!

Shambhavi
