Bluetooth audio to Pioneer stereo?

Hey guys, I'm trying to sync my phone with my car stereo so that I can play last.fm etc in the car, but it just won't work!

My old (rubbish) nokia worked just fine and synced perfectly, but both my 3G and now 4 won't work at all, just says connection failed, even though the hands free calling part of it works a treat.

Any suggestions pleas guys?

It used to work I have a Pioneer Premier stereo that i installed specifically to use the bluetooth audio function. This stopped functioning after running an iphone update. To this day i cannot stream bluetooth audio. The bluetooth phone feature still works but now the sound gets garbled and is nearly useless. Today i also discovered that my car charger no longer works.

It's pretty clear after reading these forums that the update killed compatibility with a lot of non apple-specific products. The car charger was something sold to me at best buy... the same place i got my iphone. The fact that my expensive car stereo suddenly won't work with the intended phone is a real drag though man. Frustrating as all ****.
