Music I OWN comes up as NOT Available in your location

My music library is a mix of songs that I own from CDs, purchased from Amazon or other music carriers and iTunes. When I moved from storage ON my computer to the cloud several songs were lost and occasionally they reappear. Right now I have songs by an artist that as far as I can see can't be purchased again, but I purchased them a few years ago. Now it say "not available in your location" -odd since the songs are actually on my computer and in my library. They will not play. So Apple what gives you the right to block songs that I own. I really dislike the new system. Play counts were lost. My entire organization of the songs was thrown off as playlists changed. And now, you won't let me play songs I've purchased. I read your last response to this problem. Thanks for sharing that the "songs will not play". Really! Duh!

Not sure what you mean by moved from storage on your computer to the cloud? Do you mean that you subscribed to Apple Music or iTunes Match? Your library otherwise cannot be stored in the cloud.

if you have previously purchased items that you did not download, you can download again provided the item is still available in the store.

if your downloaded item will not play, check to see that your library is accessible and available.

also not sure what you mean by playlists changed or play count lost. Did you create a new library?

I made the switch to Apple Music and when I purchased a new computer used iTunes Match. In the process, several songs disappeared - some came back. My playlists were often based on music counts. Those counts were mostly lost in the transfer so several of my playlists no longer contain songs that I want. I do have the songs on my computer and for the second time, I have reloaded them into iTuens. They will now play on my computer, but unlike other songs, I can't put them on another device - although I have not tried attaching the device to my computer directly yet. I just find it annoying that in making this change, nothing is as it was and songs that I've owned and purchased and had in my library for years disappear. I've had this conversation with Apple Tech before and the response is always the same. I know what I'm doing, although I may not use your terms. I know what I see on my computer and other devices.
