I have a small business who sells a data system for companies. The system requires a iPad witch we sell pre set up iPad. With pre set up, I mean a iPad with some apps downloaded and configured. But what is the best way to handle the apple ID in such situations? We need an active Apple ID to download the apps needed, and we dont want to use our company's Apple ID. One of the apps needed is a paid app if that matters.
You need Apple Business Manager + MDM to do what you wish to accomplish. Ideally, you'll need to work with the org you are sending the iPad to in order to have them complete this. You should reach out to an Apple Business Rep for more info.
In theory you manage the iPad? If so, you'll need to consider some kind of MDM solution. I can imagine many an IT company that would not allow that so you may need to work with the other companies to set up the devices. You may offer your own app that the company can install.
