Keyboard minimizes while typing

Since the system update 9/23, while typing on my keyboard on iPad mini 6 it just minimizes. I have to stop, click the bar at the bottom and press maximize keyboard. It does this consistently while typing messages and working. How do I fix this?

iPad on-screen keyboard space bar is tiny Hi folks, the on screen keyboard on my iPad (ipadOS 26.10) changed a while ago and it now has a tiny space-bar which is very annoying. I tried all the reset options to no avail and it is not an issue with the zoom or split keyboard options. I’m using the normal full-size keyboard and i tried both the English uk and English us qwerty options but that didn’t help either. What I would like to do it change it back to the keyboard where the space bar was the largest key on the bottom row, I think it used to take up maybe half of the row, which was ideal. Ive included a 2 pics for reference. The issue is even worse when typing in website addresses as the space bar shrinks further to make room for the “.com” key, I press the wrong key all the time, it’s VERY ANNOYING! 🤣 Any help appreciated! How to turn off the on screen keyboard bar on my iPad? Hi everyone! I wanted to share my setup and ask for some help with an issue I've been experiencing. The problem I'm having is with a bar that is always overlaid on most applications, preventing me from typing properly with the keyboard. Sometimes I can scroll the page, but even then, the bar still occupies a significant portion of the screen and makes it difficult to use.
