Since upgrading to iOS 17, every time I restart my iPhone 12 Pro Max, within a minute HomeKit thinks I left home. I have to toggle HomeKit location permissions off and on to fix that. It then works until I restart the phone. This was never a problem under iOS 16 and earlier.
Any idea how to permanently fix this?

Apple support recommended I restart all my home hubs and then try restarting my phone. That worked. Hopefully this isn’t something I need to do periodically.

Not sure there is anything to fix. If you shut your device Home no longer “sees” it nearby and presumes that you have left. But, restarting is a rare occurrence.
