Set up a new MacBook Air, I cannot get it to show up under Devices on Airdrop, it appears under 'Other People'. Can still airdrop but cannot airdrop passwords as it states it isn't in my contacts. It should be showing under Devices as did the old MacBook I am no longer using. Find My and Location services are on, the device is showing in Find My. I am stumped, anyone come across this? Thanks in advance.

Since posting I had changed the iCloud password to force the Mac/Iphone/iPad to log back in, what I since realised is that the problem seemed to lie with the iPhone & iPad seeing a 'ghosting' on Airdrop of the old MacBook (which is off the scene and very RIP and has been deleted from Apple ID and everywhere else) - saw your post then did a Mac restart. It seems to be fine now and showing under Devices. Almost seems like the old MacBook was haunting Airdrop. Thank you again for taking the time to help.

Try and restart the MacBook to see if the issues Persist
