Mail not working after installing Ventura

I updated my MacBook Air to Ventura and now my Mail is pretty much not working at all. I can receive mail but cannot send. It’s coming up with various different messages but all connections are green and appear fine. There is no outbox anymore but nothing I try to send from any of my accounts is being received. I’m the least techy person ever and I need to resolve this asap. Can anyone help please?

One thing to try is to remove the email account, then re-add it according to the email providers instructions.

Did you also try using Connection Doctor in Apple Mail? You mentioned getting a greed indicator so not sure if you did that.

Mail > Window > Connection Doctor

If none of these things worked for you, try booting into safemode then back into your default account and test again.
