I have restarted my iPhone, restarted Apple TV, but now that I upgraded to iOS 17.0 The Apple Remote feature from iPhone no longer works. It has worked just fine for years, but now it does not.
Yes, I did upgrade to iOS 17.0 that's when it stopped working. I don't have a physical remote (damaged) and can't put my Apple TV on wi-fi (because I don't have a remote), so it only has ethernet connection. So no way to use my Apple TV.
BTW. Also Apple TV working as home hub Is affected. Wired always showing not responding.

The on-screen volume control on my iPhone for ATV is gone since the update. It was working just fine before the update and works on my partners as she has not updated
Same issue here - ATV is on 17.1 - Apple broke something w these updates. Waiting for a solution….
Update - tried rebooting everything and now working again…but got a while nothing worked (that is - Rente using iPhone 14 Pro)
Same here and Apple support can’t resolve. I’ve called them multiple times.
My friends and I were talking about this. We reset and restart. Temporary fix and then it stops
I plugged by Apple TV into a new tv. My iPhone 15 pro max remote will not work now.
