since the update ios 17, my whatsapp notifications are silenced

yes, it must be an iOS error! because the error has only been there since iOS 17 :D .. I reinstalled "WA" but as soon as I change the preview or the sound the same error occurs!

Whatsapp sounds are not coming to the phone. notifications go to my watch even though I don't have whatsapp on my watch. sounds only come to my phone if I have whatsapp open on my phone. the problem started when I downloaded the iOS 17 update to my phone. I have tried to get the fixed with apple support, but it is not successful. the problem is not with the phone but with whatsapp.

I contacted Whatsapp help centre. They replied it was not within their scope of support they can offer. My new iphone 15 promax with ios17 keeps crashing even when I reload new app after deleting the old one

WhatsApp froze after both recent iOS 17 updates to my iPhone 12. After reinstalling, WhatsApp wouldn’t back up media in chat backup. I use iCloud storage - but there’s no WhatsApp function to restrict media storage to iCloud only. My reinstalled WhatsApp wouldn’t accept my correctly entered encryption key, after three attempts yesterday. Will now need to reinstall it on my 2015 MacBook, which I don’t use anymore, to restore my chat and ((hopefully) media backup. I use it for work too, so hopefully this issue will be fixed soon.

It is not up to Apple to fix problems on third party apps, it is up to the app developer.
