airpods pro don’t charge well and when i put them in it says different percentages

so i charge my airpods and airpods case for a bit, and when i open the case it says something like “L97% R70% case 100%” until I take an airpod out and it all changes to something like “L2% R100% case 17%”. Same things happens the other way. I take the other airpod out “L 29% R 60% cause 9%”. I put the other airpod back in. “L97% R70% case 100%”. I’ve reset my airpods a few times and nothing. not sure what to do. I have an XS Max and IOS 17.0
