final cut pro crashes when accessing projects
Final cut opens up but when accessing anything within a project I created month's ago it crashes.

First, whenever there is a crash you should delete the preferences, as they become corrupted and that can cause further crashes. To delete preferences, hold down command and option while starting FCP X and click Delete Preferences. The application will start in a default state, and open an "Untitled" library. Reopen the library you were working on, set the preferences the way you like them, and try again.
Second, if there is corruption in that specific project, there are a few things you may want to try.
If you can, select the project, then hold down the Option key and choose Clip->Verify and Repair Project.
Does it say anything? Let us know, if possible with screenshots.
You may also try to export XML of the project, then try to import that back.
