Incorrect Album Art iPhone 12 Mini

After upgrading from an iPhone 8 to a 12 Mini, and syncing data from my Windows laptop, album art is incorrect on pretty much ever item in my library (only on the phone, not on laptop).

I was reading comments from many other users who have experienced this same issue over the past year or so. It was sounding like the answer might be to uninstall and then reinstall the Music app from the phone.

Does anyone happen to know if Apple has actually come up with a more reasonable fix for this issue?

Hello LouisJG126,

We'd like to help out with this.

In order to correct the artwork missing try the steps below in the order shown.

Open iTunes
Use File > Library > Export Library and save the file somewhere convenient, e.g. C:\Users\USERNAME\Desktop\Library.xml
Quit iTunes
Holding Shift, launch iTunes
When asked, create a new library and release Shift
Use File > Library > Import Playlist on the file from step 2
Enable 'Sync Music' in iTunes and click 'Sync'

This sync will erase previously synced content from the previous library, other computer, etc. It requires 'Sync Library' not be in use on the iPhone. It will not affect Messages, the Camera Roll, etc.

If resolved:

Quit iTunes
Holding Shift, launch iTunes
Choose the previous iTunes library file, usually C:\Users\USERNAME\Music\iTunes\iTunes Library.itl
Enable 'Sync Music' in iTunes and click 'Sync'

Hi There,

Thanks for the response.

After submitting the question I decided to delete my entire music library from off of my windows laptop. At this time right now I am in the process of re-ripping all of my CDs back onto my computer. At the present moment I only have two of these CDs on my iPhone 12 mini. Both have correct album artwork. When I finish getting all of the other CDs back onto my laptop I will then attempt to sync the iPhone. If need be I will use these instructions at that time.
