"no bag entry" MacBookPro Corei5 Late2016. HDD has no OS on it. It came with Serria 10.12. I connect to my WiFi and select reinstall OS and it displays the Serria 10.12 box and want to verify. When I click to verify after a moment it replies "no bag entry"! So it is online AND trying to reinstall original OS. yet give that error! What gives? The only thing I havn't tried is to reformat the HDD. Please Advise.

So, this MacBookPro Corei5 Late2016 that wont boot an install USB and has a SSD that gives me that flashing "?" Folder is a PaperWeight?

Not exactly. Not yet, anyway. It may no longer be possible to reinstall its originally installed operating system, using any method:

Based on a number of recent reports I am beginning to suspect Apple is no longer making older macOS versions available, no matter what method is used to install it.

You can, however, reinstall the closest macOS version that remains available:

How to reinstall macOS - Apple Support:

  • On an Intel-based Mac, if you use Shift-Option-Command-R during startup, you might be offered the macOS that came with your Mac, or the closest version still available.

Try that.

This all may be an irrelevant distraction. Your screenshot of Disk Utility does not show any internal storage device. If that's the case it may simply have failed. Either way, you need to contact Apple using the link I provided earlier.

New info! Perhaps based on this screenshot, this macbookpro does not have a SDD showing at all... ?
I get the flashing Question Mark Folder
when it is turned on, so does that mean the SSD is blank or NOT THERE?!

Strictly speaking the flashing question mark icon means the Mac cannot find an operating system. That's all it knows. It cannot know whether the storage module is present or not.

Try Apple Diagnostics: Diagnose problems on Mac - Apple Support, but even its results are not considered conclusive unless it identifies a specific problem. Not unlike our replies here. From what you posted so far, we can find no evidence of its presence.
