Possible fraud on iPhone id

I have been getting text messages on phone with needed codes from verizon and Xfinity (cable company). The text will send a code that whoever is trying to get into my phone is asking for. Version said there was a iPad that was ordered. I stopped it before it was sent. Now I am getting messages saying that Amazon is waiting for verification number.

can I change my Apple ID to stop this?

I have changed my Apple ID a couple of times. Now my son is getting calls asking for me. 🧐

how do I handle this?

I have cancelled my credit card and deleted all the apps that are associated with my card.
