Ipad issues since updating to IOS 17

That’s awful! Have you tried calling Apple? I have done that in the past and had such a better experience.

I just posted myself about the update 17.1.2 crashing my iPad . It was fully charged and plugged in while the update was running and then it shut off and hasn’t come back on.

I’ve done a hard start (mine has the home button) and even the hard start for the iPads that don’t have the home button…. Nothing

I talked with apple today and they said that the only thing that they can think of is letting it stay unplugged for a day or two and plug it back in.

Just updated my iPad to 17.4.1 and now Facebook is going back to homescreen after periods of scrolling. This did not occur in any of the previous versions . My iPhone with 17.3.1 does not display this behavior is causing me to be hesitant to update it.

Nothing I have tried corrects the issue.

Anyone observed this? Very annoying.

Also a problem since the update - I posted this - but don't think it went into the right place no replies....I am unable to find it...

Prior to the 17 series of OS updates, all worked well. After that, the visualization of my "Apple Pencil modified pdf files" were (music lead sheets) very different when viewed on my iMac and older iPads (with older OS). That is, when I simultaneously look at the same pdf file from my iCloud on the different devices, the iPad Pro is totally different i.e., the identical file is viewed differently on the iPad Pro. This happens with ALL the modified pdf files when using the iPad Pro. I have spoken to 2 "senior" reps on the phone and taken 3 of my devices to the Apple Store to show them the problem. They all admit there is a problem. The immediate solution would be to install the old OS (prior to 17.0 OS) but, they say they are NOT able to to do that with an iPad. So, my expensive iPad is useless to me until Apple decides to fix the problem, which may be never. What can I do? All musicians now use the large format iPad for music files - which is OK if they are not altered.

Still (Dec 18) no solution - for my particular function - simply adding some music notation to my music scores for the band, I have to go through a whole series of screen shots and transfers to pdf files just to create what used to take 1-2 minutes - now a good 1/2 hour. What really annoys me is that I am using the "Apple Pencil" and prior to the 17 update, all worked perfectly. I am seriously considering chucking this tablet, biting the 2 grand and getting a non-Apple one. The problem is what do I do with all the other 7 Apple devices in the house?

Any suggestions?

The problem lies with the operating system - turning off will do nothing. Apple really needs to start taking this "update" stuff seriously - all my devices now have auto update turned off. Give it 6 months before updating to a new OS - but after your current problem is solved.

I have the same issue with both my phone and ipad

Having simular issues. So any apps won't open.
