im trying to set a custom text tone using GarageBand but its not working

whether I save as ring tone or text tone during the export process from GarageBand, it’s saved under Ring tone and not text tone and I can’t pick it as a text tone. Thoughts??

Text Tone SILK missing I have had SILK set to my text tone for years. With the last update it removes my sounds. When I went in to reselect SILK for my text tone the option is not there. I looked in the Classic option where it was before and it's not there. When I look under Ringtone in the Classic option it shows SILK but I can't select it for a text tone. What happened with the last update to mix things up so bad? How can I get SILK back as my text tone?

Cannot choose ringtone I created as default I created a ringtone in garage band ("PTN"), made sure it's less than 30 seconds long, and added it to all the correct places. However, it shows above a bar on the list, and will not let me select it as a default ring tone. It will, however, allow me to select it as a default for other actions, such as the text message notification. Any suggestions?

Text Tones I changed my text tone to newsflash, then accidentally changed it to default now I can’t find text tone again to put it back. Where did it go?

There are numerous posts in this forum that under iOS 17 all custom TEXT tones are being listed as RingTones. There have been some work-arounds provided, but in involves editing the .plist files.
