Text Notifications

I have my sound is on but not hearing any text notifications just recently updated phone with iOS17

will here one a from a contact but will not hear any future notifications from the contact

No text notification sound since 17.0.3 I am not getting any sound when receiving a text notifications. I bought the iPhone 15 Pro Max and it updated itself to the latest firmware updated. I have checked everything and ALL of my settings are correct. I’ve had an iPhone for years so know what settings should be on. This does not happen all the time though, even tried a hard reboot, but it’s still sporadic. It even played my call ring tone as a text alert by itself. This has to be a software issue.

NO SOUND FOR INCOMING TEXTS AND EVERYTHING IS TURNED ON Why does apple think we are so dumb that we cannot perform basic troubleshooting? My phone is STILL not getting sound notifications for incoming texts (and sometimes phone calls). I've gotten a new phone, upgraded phone plan, gotten a new SIM card, turned on notifications for sound, messages and phone. Still, I don't get sound notifications for texts. Apple, FIX THIS!
