Are you saying the charge is starting at 100% and is going to 0%? Seems as though your battery is not charging, and it is losing power while it is plugged in. I do not see how else it would be going backwards.

Troubleshooting iPhone Charge:

Visit the following links for tips on troubleshooting this...

I. Try what is on this Link: If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won't Turn on or is Frozen - Apple Support

II. View the Battery Health:

Apple recommends you get a new battery, once the Battery Health reaches 80% or lower. When the Battery Health is 80% or lower, it is time for a new battery.

  1. Go To: Settings
  2. Tap: Battery
  3. Tap: Battery Health
  4. View: [the percentage]
  5. Is it 80% or less?  If so, it is time for a new battery.

III. Perform a Restart:

Try Force Restarting your iPhone. Save any information that need be. Then perform the restart.

This is a Well-Known Issue. So, Report it.

Provide Apple Feedback:

Do your Part: Report this to Apple.  Apple Support will not get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what is going on and what needs to be fixed. Google it, and you'll see that this has been reported thousands of times on these forums. Question is: "Just how many people have actually report it to Apple?" So, report this to Apple, and await the fix. Apple will know nothing of your occurrence, if you do not report it to them.

  1. Go Here: Feedback - Apple - iPhone
  2. Select: "Bug Report" for the "Feedback Type"
  3. Comment On: When you came across this, and how you have troubleshot it, thus far. Include the URL of this thread.
  4. Proceed from there as necessary.
