Parallel compression causing delay/flange

Hi im trying to achieve parallel compression by sending some of my kick to smashed compressor but there is a slight delay/flange. The kick is being routed to my drum bus and the smashed compressor(devil lock at 100% mix) is being routed to the stereo out. When I route the kick to the stereo out the problem is fixed. pls help

You need to route the signal you want to process to a Bus / Aux Channel (don't use sends!) and then create a second Aux Strip in the mixer under Options > Create New Auxiliary Channel Strip. For parallel compression to work, you need two Aux Channel Strips, one for processing and one dry. Put the input of both Aux Channel Strips on the same bus channel you are sending the drums to. You can now insert a compressor into one Aux Channel Strip.
