Want to query the battery capacity and the number of charging cycles

Do you have an Intel Mac or Apple Silicon Mac? With the Apple Silicon Macs, macOS shows the Battery Capacity with a percentage value.

If you have an Intel Mac, then you can use the third party app Coconut Battery to get the information (also available for Apple Silicon).

It is also possible to use the command line to retrieve details as well on the Intel Macs (not so easy to retrieve on Apple Silicon Macs).
