Is that true new 2023 iPhone 15 Pro comes with USB-C but with 2.0 cable despite the device actually support USB3 speed ?
I guess it's contradicting Apple's own blueprint to reduce carbon footprints as many users will be prone to ditch the slow stock cable and buy faster cable, thus generating more waste.
I can't believe they do that in 2023 seriously

I suspect the vast majority of iPhone users will neither know nor care. While there is certainly a subset of iPhone users who use the cable for transfer, my sense is that it is far from the majority.
You can always let Apple know your thoughts here:
