HOW TO AVOID PHISHING SITES? HOW TO BLOCK CERTAIN URLs?

I'm irregularly spammed with sites which are clearly "BAD". To give you the last one:

oucoraphothed.com/click.php?key=tzjens9uik0ec8oi4qvd&visitor_id=ck6jr9rbmedbfoddlaug&zoneid=6358450&campaignid=7384412&user_activity=known&countryname=BE&type=Push&age=0&creative_id=400496&campaign_id=89678&site_id=5273&placement_id=22542503

The length alone says enough, isn't it?

I'm very surprised Apple (nor an y browser (Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Safari) provides (or seems so) any way to DISABLE, to BLOCK such sites… or am I mistaken?

Thank you for your help.

I’m mainly using Safari (general tasks) and Firefox (purely private).

Hey DLWorldCitizen,

You'll see this if Remote Login has ever been enabled on your Mac: Allow a remote computer to access your Mac - Apple Support

As far as why Malwarebytes quarantined 2 items, it appears that these may be threats but leaving it up to you to decide: Restore and delete quarantined items in Malwarebytes for Mac

Feel free to get back to us with any questions or problems you may have.

All the best.

Even when Safari is NOT ACTIVE (thus after quitting) I still keep receiving these notifications.

Safari does not need to be open. Read Customize website notifications in Safari on Mac - Apple Support.

Excerpt:

"You get notifications from websites even if they’re not open—and even if Safari isn’t open."

To stop them from ever appearing again read Stop unwanted Notifications - Apple Community.

Notifications are not viruses and they are not malware. Uninstall whatever you may have installed in an effort to get rid of them. They won't help.

I've zero extensions in Safari. I send show partial screen pictures so you can see the kind of messages appearing irregularly (between every 10 minutes of to ¿¿¿every hour???)

2 extra remarks:

• If a program is able to delete a virus why would wait upon a human to do so?

• it uses the icon of the System settings(!) which is quite confusing to me

Thank you.

I trust you so I installed it and… I discovered a strange application in

System Settings > Privacy & Security > Full Disk Access > sshd-keygen-wrapper

Do you know what is "sshd-keygen-wrapper"? Or someone who can tell me?

And about Malwarebytes Protection: it discovered 2 anomalies but instead of deleting it it put it in quan-rantaine. Do you know why? Why doesn't it delete it?

PS: Am in Europe and need to go to sleep (it's very late for me). I'll read your answer tomorrow.

THANKS ofr all your help :-)

Yes this helps a lot BUT…

Even when Safari is NOT ACTIVE (thus after quitting) I still keep receiving these notifications.

So I'm wondering if getting rid of them in "Safari > Websites > Notifications" helps.

Or is it a background job?

I don't have much time today (it's 9:25 AM here in Belgium), but I'll let you know if those bad notifications are definitely gone.
