The search in imessage appears to have changed with the ios17 update. Before, i could search on key words and text would come up. Now, for simple words like "loan" which i know i have tons of texts for, only 3 photos appear, no text

turn everything back on.
Restart Your Phone
all my message history came back.

Firstly, we'd recommend updating to the newest release of iOS 17 if you haven't already. The steps are at Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support.
If you have and issues continue, does it specific with just the one example or does it occur with different keywords and contact names?

Apple support has not been helpful, at all! I read on another forum that the issue is a known bug on the iOS 17 update. Really hope they fix it soon. Literally one of the most valuable tools on iPhone.
I have been experiencing this as well. Tried all of these solutions and nothing works. So frustrating.

I’ve been having this same issue since the iOS 17 update. Apple Support hasn’t been able to figure out how to fix it yet for me. Any luck for you?
