Call logs syncing

I have 3 iPhones and been working on the fix for weeks… here it is!

Go to your setting -> Apple ID -> iCloud :

turn off iCloud drive

turn off iCloud backup

click show all and then turn off ‘phone’, ‘face time’ & ‘CONTACTS’

it turns out once I switched of contact toggle as well that’s when the call history finally stopped syncing (strange I know)

iOS 17 has a new feature. Try going to general - airdrop - untick “bring devices together”. That should stop the “sharing” of information. (It did for mine). I was pretty annoyed as the phone didn’t ask for permission to share the info, it just did it. And I had to search the ios17 summary to see what changes might have been made. This is a privacy issue and shouldn’t be automatically set to on. Imagine teachers confiscating mobile phones and storing them in a drawer - for me, I ended up with all my partner’s work info and contacts, which was annoying.

I called apple and they told me originally the voicemail mirroring was a carrier problem, then after more time they said it wasn’t. It ended with them suggesting I get two apple ID’s. And suggest an update / bug fix. After hanging up my phones started to mirror not just voicemail but also call logs even though all settings to do this were off. I decided to go the route of a second Apple ID and it was a pain but I now have two separate ID’s one for work phone and one for personal phone linked with Family.

There is no need to change apple ids.

On both phones Go to Settings>Phone>calls on other devices

then turn this setting off. It will prevent calls arriving on other devices using the same icloud account.

I am having the same issue since I updated my iOS to 17. Tried all the fixes suggested with no success. My business and personal phones share an ID and it’s unrealistic to create two just to circumvent this issue.

So, I gave the other iPhone its own Apple ID account. It seems to be working, but annoying since I had to redo its configurations (Find My, disabling iCloud, etc.) and testings. App Store's app updates still want the old Apple ID account. Ugh!

Ok so the real fix is switch off iCloud Drive on the devices that are syncing and call log sync will immediately stop. Guaranteed :) just go to settings, icloud, iCloud Drive and switch this off with the toggle

Hi , I also tried. unfortunately not working. I have tried on both devices. Call log still syncing.

I had to make a new Apple ID account for the other iPhone to fix this annoyance. That took hours since I had to reconfigure, test, etc. I doubt Apple will fix it so you might as well do the same. :(

Do you have any other devices that might be syncing? And just to confirm, the data already synced might still be there, but turning this option off should prevent any future syncing. Keep us updated.

I turned off all possible settings! Turn off iCloud phone, then in the application the phone turned everything off, also turned off iCloud Drive, also turned off face time, but this doesn’t help. support says this is an innovation, it takes a lot of complaints to solve the problem

Having the same issue 2 iphones one for work one for personal - same apple ID, all setting shut off for iCloud, phone sharing, etc. still having the same issue that call logs are syncing, voicemail syncing.
