Did anyone else get stuck on “Verifying…”?

On my iPhone 14 Pro with the latest version of 17 I was attempting to update my watch to 10. I even had the first bug fix on version 17 iOS. My phone got stuck on verifying and worked on it for over an hour and the watch on the stand charging, no acknowledgment that there was an upgrade going on. I got tired of the wait and pulled the watch off the stand and put it on my wrist and entered my pin. The watch was waiting for a response from the user to approve the installation of the upgrade. This was new to me as I had never seen the watch be involved, except as a receiver of upgrades. All the questions had always been on the phone.

As soon as I put the watch on the phone change shortly to installing instead of verifying. I had solved the problem, but I don’t think many people would have thought to do what I did.

This is an extensive update from all accounts, and I think it was sloppy coding that made the watch have to be involved. Someone should put out a fix for this problem.

I read in the install notes that if there is difficulty both the iPhone and the watch should be restarted. I did not do that. It also mentions that the install could be thrown away and reloaded. I did not do that. It all installed properly when I saw the problem by interacting with the watch during install.

is there a place for feedback on the upgrades? If someone knows where to go for that, please help me. Have a nice day.
