Why is My messages green

When I texted people my messages come up on there phone green it post to be blue right

Message colors when sending a text On several web sites, I was told to turn off messages along with everything else, nothing works. What has after the last update (ios 17.6.1 when I send or try to send message to other I phones, the other phone color is green when it should be blue. Also all the text addresses I have that were blue is now all green. Especially my wife's I phone ADDRESS is now green. I have been on several sites on the internet, everybody has said the same, first turn off message, then turn back on, no work.

My messages were blue with the person i was texting and now they are green and wont go back to blue and the other person has an iphone My messages were sending so i sent it as a text message and ever since then they have stayed green and the other person has an iphone and is responding back

When imessage is unavailable it will send as SMS this is due to either you or the recipient is in an area with a weak wifi/cellular data signal or has imessage turned off.
