iTunes Library (Windows) uploads are mismatch and/or missing. Plus my portable HDD crashed.
I had about 600+ cds in iTunes library on an external drive. Just about all of my songs are saved in 256kbs m4a files. During Covid, I ripped about 200 of my favorite CDs in Apple Lossless Variable Bit Rate. My external drive with the most recent files crashed. I have an old HDD with various albums in 256, 128 m4a and VBR mp3 files.
When I open iTunes on my new MacBook, the iTunes metadata matches all the Metadata from the Windows iTunes. I can not figure out why some songs in the same album are included in my iTunes library and I can play the songs, while at the same time, some songs from the same album are excluded.
Apple Music Supports, wants me to purchase Apple Music Match, but they are missing a lot of my original files.
Ironically, when I checked my YouTubeMusic uploads, ALL OF MY SONGS ARE THERE. But YouTubeMusic does not have lossless. Moreover, I don't know what file format they use if I download the YTMusic library to my new MacBook.
If I could only resurrect my failed external Seagate HHD my dilemma would be over:'(
Does, Apple have my original uploads somewhere?
Is there a way to restore my library and keep my play count for each song?
