Crack in my MacBook Pro screen

Returned home to find a crack in my screen (no idea how), is a crack of this magnitude worth worrying about currently? Or is it safe to use for the time being without leading to further damage. I got the screen replaced a few months back and cant see any way it could have happened as i leave it on a desk, yet i doubt it would be covered under warranty as it could easily be seen as accidental damage
