iPhone 15 Pro not charging

Brand new right out of the box (No damage or foreign objects in charging port) I just updated it and transferred my data from my iPhone 12 and none of my cables or charging boxes / PC will charge my phone.. But when its off if I plug it in it will turn the phone on but still not charge. My wireless charger will charge it and Yes tried different charging cables, force reset, checked for any debris in the charging port.. Basically everything they told me to do to troubleshoot it..

I figured it out the next day.. they don’t tell you but you HAVE to have a Apple usb charging brick (or a similar wattage charger) or it won’t even charge.

I have the iphone 15, bought it less than a week ago. For the first days it was charging normally with a random USB-C cable that I had from my previous android phone. Suddenly yesterday night, when I plugged it it didn’t show any sign of charging. It will charge wireless tho.

EDIT: I resolved the issue by just turning the phone off

My 15 Pro Max did charge to 65% a couple of times before it stopped. I did a forced restart several times on my iPhone, but it still wouldn’t charge. I finally changed my battery charging optimization to none. Bingo - I have no problem charging now. FYI - I am using an Anker 20W USB C power strip with my Apple MagSafe, but it does not charge my iPhone and iPad at the same time, which isn’t really a problem for me.

I have this issue also. iOS 17.03 or 17.1 don’t fix this issue. Those patches seemed to be for 3rd party cables. I use all apple cables and chargers and it’s still not working. Wireless charging works fine, but using a USB-C cable doesn’t work reliably. I’d say it fails 85% of the time. Sometimes it works temporarily after reboots. I tried a USB-A to USB-C cable and that works all the time. Funny enough this also started happening to my iPad. So now my iPad Pro and IPhone 15 can only charge with USB-A to USB-C cables reliably. Also plugging these two devices to my Mac Mini fail to connect. If I use the USB-A to USB-C cable the Mac Mini then shows my devices in Finder. This has to be some sort of software issue, as this all started happening with iOS 17.

Me too

worked fine for two weeks using Anker brick with 20 and 45w output and supplied cable as well as my own - then nothing - no response on iPhone.

Luckily I read this post and tried charging with my MacBook Pro and hey presto it works.

Not impressed - on holiday for next week so need to lug laptop around then it goes back to Apple Store for explanation or money back.

Had the same problem and realized the chargers they give you 90% of the time don’t work they gave me a broken iPhone and Apple Watch charger had to buy all new ones (20W USB C Fast Charger with 10ft USB C to C Charging Cord for iPhone 15/15 Pro/15 Pro Max, iPad Pro 12.9 Gen 6/5/4/3, iPad Pro 11 Gen 4/3/2/1, iPad Air 5th/4th, iPad 10th Generation, iPad Mini 6) this one works perfect for me and hope this helps
