App availability in AppStore

A supplier I have previously utilised in order to remit cash to a friend in Africa now only seems to offer a mobile solution, none for desktop. Because my smartphone is not used by me for banking, I anticipate problems and security issues. I'm not too happy. You can image the various paths to "contact us" do n't function (not efficiently).

Questions:

  1. An app that's designed only for use on either desktop or mobile will surely figure in the App Store, with the relevant qualification?
  2. And, therefore, if it cannot be found at all, then it's not available for either MacOS or iOS?
  3. If you're in the know, are my security concerns founded? (The supplier is WorldRemit).

Thank you!

It should, yes.

Apps for Mac may be available directly from the developer's website and may not be available in the Mac App Store.

WorldRemit appears is only available for Android, iPhone or iPad, but not for Mac. Download links can be found here ➜ https://www.worldremit.com/en-us/faq

What security concerns?

That's helpful. Thank you.

In the film "War Dogs", Jonah Hill asks a dude in the 'hood about purchasing some illicit substance and is asked for money, which is duly pocketed, whereupon nothing happens. Jonah enquires again, with reference to the recently remitted money. The dude feigns ignorance. "What money?"

So: the security concerns. That my bank, which isn't on my Android, and WorldRemit might drop the cash when the transfer's made to Africa's west coast. But not in the street. And WorldRemit might reveal my whereabouts by tracking me for ever more until they become static enough for WorldRemit to assume I'm dead and stop bothering, thus increasing my exposure to Albanian gun-runners in the meantime.

Maybe I shouldn't have mentioned War Dogs.

Great help, ta.
