AppleCare+ automatically cancelled on old device when upgrading to new device?

I just upgraded from 13 Pro to 15 Pro. When I went back to cancel AppleCare on the 13 Pro, I was unable to find where I could do it.

I chatted with support and they said it was already cancelled. Is this a new automatic thing when you transfer data from old phone to new phone?

I don't remember this when I upgraded from a 12 to a 13.

AppleCare for new iPhone 16 Pro Max billed to a different Apple Account Just bought a 16 pro max and applecare+ and when i want to finish the setup it says 'Your AppleCare plan is billed to a different Apple Account. Can't switch Applecare+ from monthly to yearly I bought an iPhone 13 last month from an Apple Store, and I was planning on buying at least a year worth of Applecare+, but the person who worked there who sold it to me suggested that I sign up for a monthly plan, and then switch to yearly after that, due to something or other involving showing the date of purchase on the phone, or something like that. When I go into the settings on the phone, it only gives the option to cancel or renew the monthly subscription, and online, it simply tells me that the phone is already covered. So, how do I switch?

Maybe you traded it in?

Look in Settings, Your Name, Subscriptions
